The Computer Technician operates the computer repair service center.
Job requirements include the repair of computers and computer peripherals.
The technician assists school districts with repairs and safety procedures for local school sites.
The repair technician is on a 228 day contract with pay that is competitive for the area.
A benefit package is included and qualifies for the Utah Retirement System.
Essential Duties Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and electrical problems.
Clean, organize, and maintain work areas.
Work with customers to determine the cause of hardware, software, or electrical problems.
Provide feedback to management on the performance of Central Utah Educational Services (CUES)'s services.
Repairs Chromebooks, Apple iPad's, Generic Windows Hardware, and Apple hardware and related peripherals.
Keeps an inventory of parts needed to effectively run the service center.
Maintains a database on equipment cleaned and repaired through CUES.
Invoices the districts as needed for repair at cost plus shipping.
Offer phone support for technical assistance to school districts.
Maintains a database of symptoms and what was done to repair items.
Maintains tools and equipment needed for operation of the repair center.
Must be able to qualify as an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) and will receive a $2.
00 an hour raise when successfully completed.
Maintains parts ordering software.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required Skills Qualifications Ability to work with others in a variety of settings Positive attitude and energy 2
years of experience working in a computer repair facility.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree preferred.
Knowledge of computer systems, software, peripherals, etc.

Ability to read wiring diagrams and be able to identify problems with computer systems that may require repair.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods.
Must have valid ID card.
